Caregivers desired more data on their loved ones.

Candid conversations with caregivers made us ask: What if there was an easy way to save and organize vital video clips of their loved one’s care? What if they could wake up to a clear summary of the night, free from uncertainty and stress? Throughout our conversations a clear theme emerged: Caregivers wanted greater access to nighttime data and footage, not just for peace of mind, but to share with healthcare teams for better support.

Designing for peace of mind.

Building on these insights, we designed two key workflows to give caregivers deeper access to their loved one’s data. The first feature allowed them to save and categorize video clips into custom albums, making it easier to document and share with healthcare providers. The second was a session summary, offering a high-level overview of significant events and activity throughout the night. This gave caregivers the clarity they needed and peace of mind knowing nothing important was missed.

Remote monitoring made easy and efficient.

It was crucial that caregivers could easily adopt the app, and experience the value right away. To ensure we got it right, we conducted follow-up one-on-one interviews with caregivers who had previously shared their insights. This round of usability testing offered a real-time look into their interactions with the prototype. As they navigated the app, we gathered feedback on functionality and ease of use, allowing us to refine the design and ensure it truly met their needs and expectations.

Pioneering a new era of care for all.

With a complete set of documented screens prepared for development, Medforall’s app is set to launch a pilot program in 50 homes by early 2025. This solution not only alleviates caregiver strain but also boosts patient safety and fosters better collaboration with healthcare professionals. By empowering caregivers with the insights they need, Medforall is paving the way for a better, more supportive future in patient care.
