Retailers are always looking for new ways to connect with their shoppers and to gather data about their behaviors to encourage more sales. FootClicks is a startup with new technology that accomplishes this by connecting with a retailer’s current app to locate shoppers within the footprint of the store, all without utilizing additional hardware such as beacons. The technology maps a store’s actual layout, analyzes a customer’s shopping trip in real time, and triggers contextual messages to the customer by location, movement, dwell time, and outside weather.
ZoCo helped FootClicks to market their platform as the next generation of retail shopping technology. We started out with an identity system and website for this new brand and have continued to develop marketing materials for them as the company grows.

We helped FootClicks realize their attributes and brand promise, designing the identity accordingly. The logo symbolizes connection: connecting shoppers, brands, and products, blending physical and mobile experience, and joining retailer to consumer. A series of patterns using the link symbol helps to reinforce the brand in a bright and energetic way.
The website is an easy-to-navigate one page that introduces FootClicks and explains how the technology works without giving too much away. ZoCo created example phone screens of how the product would work with a retailer’s app. We also built a system of icons to represent some of the more complex details.
For retail conventions and trade shows, FootClicks needed an engaging takeaway piece that would be both eye-catching and informative. Our solution was a piece that reinforced the brand and allowed potential customers to interact and spend more time with it. The messaging theme was “Beyond Beacons” and focused on how FootClicks doesn’t need hardware to work, making it ultimately better than its competion at the trade show.
